Discover more than 800 animal species and explore 40 hectares of one of the most beautiful zoos in the world!
At the begining, the Zoo de Beauval was a birdwatching park. In 1989, the park officially became the Zooparc when it welcomed it's first cats. It is one of the 5 most beautiful zoos in the world and it's goal is the conservation and protection of these animal species. Today, it holds more than 35.000 animals and 800 species including some which are unique to France: giant pandas, koalas, tasmanian devils and borneo dragons.
You will walk through the park's alleys and look at wild animals such as lepards, wolves and bears. You will make the most of your visit and meet african lions in their new 5 300m² enclosure. You will have the chance to go through the parc in the panoramic gondola and enjoy an impresive view over the park and its animals. You will also get to see tasmanian devils, a species in danger of going extinct which was welcomed in the zoo in a breeding program.
From March to November, the parc offers two breath-taking shows for its visitors: "les maîtres des airs" where 500 birds and "L'Odyssée des lions de mer" here you will be impressed by the otters tricks and acrobatics.
During your day, you will get to visit the park's new attraction: the "Dôme équatorial". This 38meter-high greenhouse has more than 200 aquatic and land species. During your 2 hour walk through the greenhouse, you will discover giant otters, komodo dragons, manatees, hippopotamus, turtles and many more! The dome offers an adapted environment for each species including aquariums, pools and lots of vegetation. This will be just like a trip around the equator, just as pleasant in the winter as in the summer.
