Get to Virpazar, a small village north of Lake Skadar (also known as Lake Shkodra). At the heart of the national park of the same name, which acts as the border between Montenegro and Albania, Lake Skadar isthe largest lake in the Balkans. You'll meet your local guide at the meeting point and set off on a 2-hour private cruise, discovering the flora and fauna. You'll sail up a river surrounded by reeds, then discover the fortress of Lesendro (18th century), situated on an island in the middle of the lake. During your cruise, you'll admire fields of water lilies and observe numerous bird species. You'll continue your cruise up the river Morača which is home to a bird reserve of 15 different species, then discover a panorama of the three central islands of Lake Skadar: Small Cakovica, Big Cakovica and Lipovnjak.
