Day at leisure. Continue your exploration of Tokyo by visiting the districts of Asakusa and Ueno, home to Senso-ji Temple and Sumida Park. You can also wander around Yanaka, known as “Old Tokyo,” or immerse yourself in the world of manga and video games in Akihabara.

Day 4 – Tokyo – Kanazawa
After breakfast, take the Shinkansen express train to Kanazawa. Enjoy a free afternoon to explore the narrow streets of the Higashi-Chaya district, Kenrokuen Garden, and the castle. You can also discover the local crafts such as silk, ceramics, and lacquerware.

Day 5 – Kanazawa
Free day. Visit the traditional villages of Shirakawago and Gokayama, with their thatched-roof houses nestled in the alpine landscape.

Take the express train to Kyoto. You can visit the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, Tenryu-ji Temple, or wander through the Gion district. Nishiki Market offers a chance to explore the local cuisine.

Free day. Explore at your own pace the must-see sites: Fushimi Inari Shrine, Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Maruyama-koen Park, Chion-in Temple, and Nanzen-ji Zen Temple. Finish your day with a visit to the Golden Pavilion (Kinkaku-ji) and Ninna-ji Temple via Hontsuji Dori Street.

Day 8 – Kyoto – Hiroshima
Activate your Kansai Hiroshima Area Pass and take the train to Hiroshima. In the afternoon, visit the Peace Memorial Park, its museum, the Ikari Shrine, or Shukkei-en Garden.

Free day. Take a ferry to Miyajima Island to visit the Itsukushima Shrine and its famous floating torii gate, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Take the train to Osaka with the option to stop in Okayama or Himeji. In Osaka, visit the castle, the history museum, or the Sumiyoshi and Osaka Tenmangu Shrines. Explore the typical shopping streets known as Shotengai.

Day 11 – Osaka – Osaka 2025 World Expo
Dedicate your day to the Osaka-Kansai 2025 World Expo. Located on Yumeshima Island, it will allow you to explore international pavilions, performances, artwork, and innovations on the theme “Designing the Future Society for Our Life Tomorrow.”

Day 12 – Osaka
Free day. Explore the Umeda, Namba, and Shinsaibashi districts for shopping, then taste local specialties in Dotombori. You can also visit Minoh, Katsuo-ji Temple, or take an excursion to nearby cities like Nara or Kobe.

You will be transferred by limousine bus from downtown Osaka to Kansai Airport for your return flight.
