You'll start your tour with a coffee tasting in the El Registro market. Accompanied by your guide, you'll learn more about Costa Rican culture. You'll take a stroll around the market, stopping off at several stalls where you can learn about different preparation processes, such as chorreado, Costa Rican coffee and a local medicine used to treat various ailments. You'll also be able to sample some fresh local fruit!
You'll then head off to San José's central market, located in a 120-year-old building. This market will give you the chance to find out more about Costa Rican culture and history. You'll be able to sample local specialities, as well as a refreshing home-made ice cream.
Finally, you'll make two other interesting stops, the Central Post and Telegraph Building and the Edificio Steinvorth. Your tour ends in the Plaza de la Cultura, close to the National Theatre of Costa Rica, giving you the full San José experience.
