You'll begin your experience at St. Peter's Basilica, where you'll pick up your ticket at the indicated meeting point. You'll make your first ascent to the base of the Dome, climbing 171 steps.
From the base, you'll enjoy an impressive first view of the Basilica's interior. You'll then continue the ascent on foot, climbing some 300 steps, to the top of the Dome, named "La Lanterna". From here, you'll enjoy a 360° panoramic view of Rome, the Vatican, the papal gardens, the conclave chimney and many other emblematic monuments of the Eternal City.
Once you've descended, you'll begin the second part of your tour: a free discovery of St. Peter's Basilica, still accompanied by your audioguide. You'll hear many anecdotes about this emblematic site of Christianity while admiring the artistic treasures it contains.
