Discover the Cotopaxi National Park and the impressive Quilotoa volcano and lagoon during your stay in Quito!
You'll be picked up in the early morning from your hotel or from a meeting point in Quito and driven to Cotopaxi National Park. Along the Pan-American Highway, take in the beauty of the landscapes, surrounding nature, and the Andes mountains.
Continue through the heart of the national park before arriving at the foot of the Cotopaxi volcano, the highest active volcano in the country, standing tall at 5,897 metres. Your guide will then take you on a tour of the park museum before you head over to the Limpiopungo lagoon.
If the weather permits, set off on a hike through a forest full of red and yellow chuquiragas, the floral symbol of Ecuador.
You'll then drive to the Quilotoa volcano, which is home to a stunning turquoise-blue lagoon considered one of the most beautiful sights in the country.
Again, weather permitting, you'll go for a short hike to get a breathtaking view of the volcano.
Finally, you'll have free time for lunch before the drive back to your hotel or to the centre of Quito in the afternoon.
