Discover Oak Alley Plantation and go back in time to the Old South for an afternoon!
Departing from the French Quarter, you will head towards the plantation in an air-conditioned bus. During the 1-hour drive you will be able to listen to the guide's commentaries about the history of the local area.
On arrival you will stand in front of the alley lined with 300-year-old oak trees. This impressive feat of landscaping extends over 787 feet / 240 meters from the banks of the Mississippi to the front of the main house! Visit the magnificent manor constructed in 1837 and learn all about its history, before your guide leads you to a reconstruction of the former slave quarters, describing to you the living conditions of those that worked the land.
After having explored the plantation you will have the opportunity to buy a snack and drinks and sit at a picnic table in the park. From this spot you can admire the cypress trees at the edge of the Mississippi while you relax and enjoy the serenity of the surroundings.
Your bus will bring you back to New Orleans at the end of the day.

- Availability: every day (excluding exceptional cases)
- Duration: 4 hrs 30 mins (journey included). The journey to the plantation takes around 1 hour (2-hour round trip)
- Departure time: 12-noon. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the bus departs
- To participate in this activity, simply present your voucher to the service provider on the day
- The meeting point is easily accessible by car and by tram

- This tour is suitable for people with reduced mobility. Please inform us of any special requirements by email upon reservation. The first floor of the house is however only accessible by staircase

No charges will be levied for cancellations made more than 7 days before the date of the activity (excluding special dates). After this, the following charges will be levied:
Between 7 and 4 days prior: 50% of the price
After this time and in case of a no-show: 100% of the price
Any reservation made for special dates cannot be cancelled, modified or refunded.

Très belle excursion pleine d’histoire. Le guide nous a raconté pendant la route l’histoire de la nouvelle orleans et sur place nous avons eu une visite de la grande maison de la plantation. TOUTEFOIS, je tiens tout de même à souligner qu’il est noté que l’excursion dure 6h or nous avons eu que 2h de car en tout et sur place nous n’avons pu rester qu’une heure trente. Déçue pour le temps passer sur place au vue du prixcelia H.dia 2 de mar de 2019
