Discover Salzburg, the city of Mozart!

The driver will take a route which will enable you to discover the Chiemsee lake region and see the southern part of the Bavarian Alps.

Once you arrive, you'll visit the old quarter of Salzburg, Mozart's birthplace. Take advantage of some free time for shopping, eating, or to discover this picturesque town at your own leisure!

You'll then get back onto the bus to reach the lake district, where the musical "The Sound of Music" was shot, before heading to the town of St Wolfgang.

Board a boat to cross the Wolfgangsee (ticket to be bought on arrival) and admire the panoramic view of the lake district.

Your bus will be waiting on the other side of the lake to drive you back to Munich for the late evening.

  • Seasonal activity: Available Monday, Thursday, and Saturday from April to early January (excluding exceptional dates)
  • Departure location: Munich Station
     
  • The journey between Munich and Salzburg takes around 1 hr 45 mins (145 km)
  • Your guide will provide you with information about the city during your trip, but will not conduct a guided tour of the city
  • The price for the cruise on the Wolfgangsee is not included in the tariff and must be paid upon arrival (€12 approx.)
  • A valid passport or ID card (EU citizens) will be requested at the Austrian border
  • Participants must have the correct documentation for cross-border travel within the EU in order to participate in this tour
