Get off the beaten track by discovering the Northern side of Martinique, the heart of the island, by 4x4!
The day starts off with visitors traveling backcountry roads that lead to from to the northern side of the island. Discover fruit plantations and fields of flowers. The tour will stop off at a banana plantation; here the guide will talk about bananas: how they are grown, the many varieties, and their virtues.
Next head across the river, with its clear water, and have a welcome rest under the canopy of the tropical forest. A lucky few might even get to see the magnificent Avicularia versicolor, also known as the Pink Toe Tarantula.
Before reaching the Northern coast, lunch and an aperitif will be served in a guest house with locals. Taste authentic dishes in a welcoming atmosphere. Finally, visit “La maison du bèlé” to hear local music and see folk dances. Visitors will then be returned to their hotels.
