Discover Portugal's best-preserved city at your own pace: Óbidos, thanks to your interactive map and French audioguide!

You'll enjoy a transfer from your accommodation located in Lisbon, and travel to Alcobaça a town north of Lisbon that's home to a monastery of the same name. You'll have some free time in the town of Alcobaça, we suggest visiting the church of the Santa Maria d'Alcobaça monastery which is free of charge and the more curious can visit the interior of the monastery (additional fee to be paid on site).

You'll then drive to Óbidos, one of Portugal's best-preserved medieval villages. You'll discover the famous remparts which surround Óbidos. You'll then enjoy your audioguide in French, and a interactive map provided for you to discover the main places of interest such as:

  • Porta da Vila (City Gate) and its Chapel
  • The Óbidos wall that surrounds the village
  • The aqueduct d'Óbidos
  • The Castle d'Óbidos
  • The Town Museum
  • The Church of Santa Maria
  • .Saint Peter's Church (São Pedro)
  • Saint Martin's Chapel (São Martinho)
  • The Óbidos pillory
  • Rua Direita, the town's main street with its shops

Don't miss a taste of the Ginjinha, a cherry liqueur, very popular in Portugal. After a half-day of discovery and sightseeing, you'll be driven back to downtown Lisbon.

  • Availability : Monday, Wednesday and Friday (except in exceptional cases)
  • Meeting point : Hop On Hop Off bus stop, Praça Marquês de Pombal, 1070-051 Lisboa, Portugal 
  • The return transfer will not take you back to Praça do Marquês de Pombal. Instead, there will be two stops: Eduardo VII Park and Praça Praça dos Restauradores, which is a 20-minute walk from the departure point
  • You will stay 2h30 approximately in Óbidos 
  • On the bus, you'll be lent a tactile audioguide featuring an interactive map so you can discover the town at your own pace. You'll need to return it at the end of the activity
  • The audioguide is available in the following languages: French, English, Portuguese, Italian, German, Chinese and Spanish
