Head to Paracas from your hotel in Lima and hop aboard your plane.

Take off and discover the Nazca Lines geoglyphs, classified as a world heritage site. Geoglyphs are huge shapes marked out on the ground that can measure several kilometres in length. They can be found on the Nazca desert plateau, which is more than 80 kilometres long.

Spot these huge drawings from your plane. These drawings, created by the Nazca people between 400 and 650 A.D., sometimes represent animals including monkeys, hummingbirds, and condors, but others are nothing but simple lines, the meaning of which remains unknown.

Your guide will tell you everything there is to know about the geoglyphs. The monkey is 90 metres long and has five fingers on one hand and four on the other, which is said to represent nine months of drought. The spider is said to represent fertility and water, as it usually appears before it rains. The flamingo, condor, and hummingbird represent the winter and summer solstices, with their beaks signalling the location of sunrises and sunsets on solstice days in Nazca.

At the end of the tour, you'll head back to Lima.
