Set off from Frankfurt and head to the Rhine Valley to spend half a day exploring the landscapes and traditional German villages.
The excursion starts as you travel through this region, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, by bus.
You’ll then board a boat to admire the Valley from the water during a cruise on the river. From Kaub to Rüdesheim, you’ll follow the river to see the villages of Reichenstein and Bingen, as well as Staheck Castle and the Niederwalddenkmal monument. Your vantage point from the river will also give you great views of the grapevines that are used to produce the famous Riesling wine.
When the boat moors up your guide will take you to a small tavern to taste some local wine and find out more about the production of German wines.
You will then make your way to a riverside restaurant to enjoy a traditional dinner before heading back to Frankfurt later in the evening.
