Discover the Tuscan region of Chianti, famous for its wines and impressive scenery.
Leave Florence to discover Chianti Castle and its surrounding vineyards. You'll take a tour of the vineyards in the company of a local wine-grower, and try 4 wines alongside some local produce. During your visit you'll also be able to descend into the castle's cellar and enjoy scenic views of the vineyards and the Tuscan garden.
Your excurision around Chianti will then take the ‘Via Chiantigiana’, one of the most beautiful motoring routes in the region, to admire the iconic Tuscan scenery and villages perched on the hillside.
Along the way, you'll make a stop at a family-run wine cellar to hear the wine-growers talk about their products. After a tour of the site, you'll try 4 different types of wine and some local foods.
At the end you will stop in the hilltop village of Castellina. At the heart of this Etruscan fortified city, you can admire the fortress, medieval houses and the typically Tuscan picturesque squares.
You will arrive back in Florence in the early evening.
