Set out to discover the most beautiful lakes and castles in Scotland in the West Highlands during this day trip from Edinburgh!
Board your mini-van and depart Edinburgh in a small group, headed towards the West Highlands and the Scottish mountains.
There will be a brief stop at Stirling Castle, before continues on to Doune Castle, which was built more than 600 years ago. It also served as the filming location for "Monty Python and the Holy Grail".
Next, head North towards Kilchurn castle, which is situated on the banks of Lake Awe and surrounded by mountains. Your trip will then make its way towards Inveraray village, located on the bank of Loch Fyne. Here you will see a castle from the 18th century where the Duke of Argyll, Chief of the Campbell clan, used to live (ticket not included, to be paid on site).
Before returning to Edinburgh, pass by the "Rest and Be Thankful" observation point as well as Loch Lomond. The last stop will be the traditional village of Luss. The trip will return to Edinburgh late afternoon.
