Enjoy the Amsterdam Festival of Lights from the canals, and discover the city specially decorated for the occasion!
The Amsterdam Festival of Lights takes place every year from late November to mid-January and gives the city of Amsterdam a unique atmosphere during its festive months.
You'll enjoy an hour-and-a-quarter cruise on Amsterdam's canals, and have the chance to observe twenty of the festival's illuminated works of art, all from the comfort of your own home. The cruise is commentated from loudspeakers in English and Dutch, so you can learn more about Amsterdam, the Festival of Lights and the works that parade before you.
Thanks to the open-top boat, you'll be able to observe the works up close and take some great photos. The boat is also smaller in size, so you can enjoy a warm, relaxed atmosphere. To make sure the experience isn't spoiled by the Dutch cold, plaids will be loaned to you for the duration of the cruise.
From November 28, 2024 to January 19, 2025 will take place the 13th edition of the Amsterdam Festival of Lights, this year's theme: Rituals.
This year's works on the theme "Rituals"("Rituals" in French) echo the way in which everyday rituals shape our lives, our evolution, unite us and bring us together. So you'll discover that light is also a ritual: candles, wood fires in winter, campfires in summer, fireworks to usher in the new year..
