Use your holiday in Portimão to take a two-hour cruise to the Benagil caves and Praia da Marinha beach!
You'll head to the Portimão Naval Club where you'll join your captain on board and head off on your cruise. Once you're settled down in this small motorboat, you'll be taken along the coast, where you'll find twenty-odd caves dug into the cliff and numerous deserted beaches. During the cruise, you'll also be able to admire the fort of Santa Catarina and the castle of Ferragudo alongside its small fishing town. You'll have the chance to stop off at Praia da Marinha, one of the most beautiful beaches in the Algarve, where you can enjoy a dip while admiring the scenery, and with a bit of luck you may even spot dolphins during your cruise!
You'll then go to the Benagil caves. They are considered to be the most beautiful sea caves in Europe, if not the entire world! Your captain will wind through rock formations and natural tunnels until you reach a sunlit beach in the heart of the cave. This is thanks to an opening in the cave's roof called the "Eye of Benagil".
Once your two-hour cruise is over, you'll be taken back to Portimão.
